Detailed Itinerary

 

 

Day 1: Peinnegone Village - Khugyi Fall-Bat Cave – Myaukyay Htut Cave- Maungkone Camp (5 hours)

 

Day 2: Maungkone Camp – Gatoneyay Creek- Kyun Pin Hla Yaytut – Yepyan Creek - Dothtawaddy River (5 hours)


Day 3: Dothtawaddy River- Dattaw Cave – Kyartwinyay Village- Pyin Oo Lwin or Mandalay (4 hours)

 

 

 

 

Day 1: Peinnegone Village - Khugyi Fall-Bat Cave – Myaukyay Htut Cave- Maungkone Camp

 

 


We will pick you up at hotel in Pyin Oo Lwin or Mandalay and drive to Peinnegone village. Visit in the village to see local life, vegetation fields, flower garden and meet with the local residents. Our trekking along the vegetation and paddy fields. We will trek down along the hills and flat areas.

 

 

We stop at nearby Khuggyi waterfall for lunch. You will see forest birds and some fauna. Continue trek up to large natural Bat Cave and take a rest there after steep trek. We pass in the mixed deciduous forest to get to the Myaukyay Htut Cave, subterranean which is limestone cave. It is beautiful but quite narrow to enter. Then, proceed to next trekking point, Maungkone camp to make night stop and enjoy simple dinner. Total trekking is about 5 hours.

Day 2: Maungkone Camp – Gatoneyay Creek- Kyun Pin Hla Yaytut – Yepyan Creek - Dothtawaddy River

 

 

After breakfast at camp with local food, we trek down from about 3000ft mountain and pass in the forest. See about 8 different kinds of bamboos, natural teak forest and hard woods on the way. It will be the most difficult part of the trip. Beautiful natural view and songs of birds will make your trekking amazing and refresh in your mind. We will trek down to Gatoneyay Creek and walk along the creek. We will witness to one of the largest teak trees (25.2 ft in circumference), is estimated that about 600 years old.

 


Then, we will stop at the Kyun Pin Hla Yayhtut to swim in the natural stream. Lunch will be served by the stream. Next 45 minutes trekking route mostly flat to the Yaypyan Creek. In the evening, you will arrive at one of the most beautiful rivers of Myanmar known as Dothtawaddy River,a tributary of Ayeyarwaddy and the confluence is near Ava ( The ancient capital of Myanmar). We make camping on the bank of river. Dinner will be at the local house.

Day 3: Dothtawaddy River- Dattaw Cave – Kyartwinyay Village- Pyin Oo Lwin or Mandalay

 

 

 

After breakfast at the local house, we do boating to the mouth of the Dothtawaddy river about an hour. We see the breath-taking view of river, mountains and forest. It will make you fantastic and happy as the scenery is very green, quiet and the water is very clean. When we arrive back at the river bank, start trek on the off-road and up to the hill to get to the Dattaw Cave with small fall and stalactites & stalagmites. Continue trek up to the teak forest camp about one hour & 30 minutes passing the forest, trail and cliff. Packed Lunch will be on the way. Then, we trek to next point called Kyartwinyay Village which is mining worksite for producing iron. You will be picked up by car at the village. Drive back to Pyin Oo Lwin or Mandalay.
