Detailed Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Mandalay – Khamti (by flight 1 hour & 20 minutes boarding)
Day 2: Khamti – Lahe – Makyan – Santon (by 4×4 Wheel D 6:30 hours driving) (73 miles)
Day 3: Santon – Sawlaw (by 4×4 Wheel D 3 to 3:30 hours driving) (30 miles)
Day 4: Sawlaw – lahe (by 4×4 Wheel D 3 to 4 hours driving) (47 miles)
Day 5: Lahe – Khamti (by 4×4 Wheel D 4 to 5 hours driving) (56 miles)
Day 6: Khamti – Mandalay (by flight 1 hour & 20 minutes boarding)
Day 1: Mandalay – Khamti (by flight)
DayTake domestic flight to Khamti from the Mandalay International Airport. After about 1 hour 20 minutes boarding the flight, you will arrive at Khamti Airport and transfer in to the small hotel for check-in. Khamti is located at the eastern bank of Chindwin river which is the second longest one in the country. After taking a rest at guest house, you will be introduced with Khamti’s town exploration with local transportation to see more prominent sites highlights included Naga Traditional Museum and Naga traditional field which is the most popular place for their New Year festival and dancing place. In the evening, you will stroll around the town and visit Nanthargone Naga village, Chinese temple. Dinner at local restaurant and one night stop in Khamti.

Day 2: Khamti – Lahe – Makyan – Santon (by 4×4 Wheel D)
After breakfast in the morning, drive to Lahe via crossing on the New Bridge over the Chindwin river. This adventure driving passing through the tribal villages and forest mountain range will be highlight of the day. On the way, visit to Lahe & Makyan Naga villages and make a nice stop at Tainenyo view point for photography. In the afternoon, arrive at Lahe and continue to Santon village for sightseeing around the village. Lying on the 2430 meters mountain range, it will be cold climate. Dinner and overnight stay at Naga traditional house will give you to be in authentic local atmosphere.

Day 3: Santon – Sawlaw (by 4×4 Wheel D)
Enjoy your simple breakfast at Local house. Then, proceed driving to Sawalw Naga Village. The route is very rough, bumpy and a bit dusty. You see some traditional Naga villages on the way to Lakyan, Makyan, Teikyan and Sappalaw. Start trekking from junction to Lakyan. It approximately takes about 2 hours trekking. You will experience with typical Naga tribes’ lives, daily activities, tradition and living style. Their daily struggle is very simple and interesting but it is much different from other hill tribes at other region in Myanmar.

Overnight at Local Naga’s House in Sawlaw
Day 4: Sawlaw – lahe (by 4×4 Wheel D)
Enjoy simple breakfast at local house. You see their morning life and having breakfast view. At most villages, families are living together with their two or three generation family members and siblings. This morning, we drive to very remote area and the border of India to experience and see mountain ranges and forest views. Today you will see step cultivation where local grow rice widely and crops cultivation system. Then, proceed drive back to Lahe. If time permits, visit to some Naga villages.

Overnight at Local Naga’s House in Lahe
Day 5: Lahe – Khamti (by 4×4 Wheel D)
After morning sightseeing in Lahe, proceed back to Khamti by 4WD. It will be same way back and visit some rest villages on the way back. In the evening, some more sightseeing by strolling around the town and enjoy the sunset on the bank of the Chindwin River. Dinner at a restaurant and overnight will be in guest house again.

Day 6: Khamti – Mandalay (by flight)
This morning, you enjoy with local tea and snacks for breakfast at tea house. You see the various walks of life and pheasants who are chatting with their language. Transfer to airport to take domestic flight to Mandalay. After one hour and twenty minutes boarding flight, you arrive at Mandalay International Airport. You say farewell to your guide.
