In the morning, our tour representatives meet you at the hotel and drive to southeast of Mandalay city. We make a stop at the local flowers market near Latkaung village after 15minutes drive from Mandalay. See the lively morning view of flowers sellers and buyers. It is the biggest flower market where various and colorful flowers growers come to sell. Take time for photos of friendly locals, seasonal flowers like Aster, Eugenia, Cobra-saffron, Jasmine, Gladiolus and Chrysanthemum. Some betel shops are here to learn how Burmese people chew betel with red mouth. Then, continue driving and see the different cultivation landscape along the road. On the way, you visit to the slake lime production workplace to watch making it with traditional way. (ONE DOLLAR – ONE TOURIST: we will contribute 1$ on behalf of one tourist to the children of slake lime workers for education fund)
Next driving about 45 minutes to get the elephant camp known as Wanet Elephant Camp which is located at the foot of Shan mountain ranges. When you arrive there, you will be treated with local green tea or coffee and snack. Participate for bathing elephants and their activities. Learn about the daily activities of mahouts, nature of Myanmar timber elephants, relationship between them, and see the skeleton of dead elephant in the bamboo house. If you just want to get fun, ride the elephant into the natural woods about twenty minutes and see the beautiful mountains, green floras, and natural stream. (ONE TOURIST-ONE TREE) Plant one tree like teak (Tectonagrandis)or one kind of iron woods (Xylia dolabriformis) in the conserved woods for the environmental preservation and reforestation plan. After that, drive back to Mandalay and arrive at hotel in the afternoon.
Remark: It will make the clients much different from the urban atmosphere and pagodas out. Clients can touch with natural beauty, elephants’ activities, planting tree for conservation of woods and typical ways of life.
