Sagaing is located at the west bank of mighty Ayeyarwaddy River in Sagaing Region. Its classical name is Zayarpura means city of victory. It has been recognized as the largest Buddhist religious site in Myanmar with its hundreds of monasteries, nunneries, meditation centres, pagodas and religious buidings. Its main tourist attraction is Soon-Oo-Pone-Nya-Shin Pagoda on there travelers can see sublime Buddha Image, Stupa, panoramic view over the city. And the second one is U Min Thone Se Pagodas - 45 gold gilded seated Buddha Images are placed in the tunnel cave. There are 8 kinds of Myanmar Endemic Species of birds in the whole country. At Bagan, there are 6 species can be found. It is the only one for seeing even 6 species. Mogok where the place of producing world’s best ruby and sapphire is located in Pyin Oo Lwin District (former hill station town) at the northeast of Myanmar. It is 200 km far from Mandalay. It is located over 1100m above sea level. The climate is regularly cool. In the cool season, it decreases until 2*C and sometime it frozen. The rain-fall is roughly between 80 ft and 110 ft and it is hilly region. Around Mogok, there are pine trees and other ever green forests are growing naturally. The population is about 200000 and mostly Burmese, Shan, Lesu, Palaung, India, Chinese, Chin, and Nepalese. Most people are believed in Buddhism but some are Christian, Hinduism and Muslim. Most famous pagodas are Chan Thar Gyi, Phaung Daw Oo, Shwe Gu Gyi, Daw Nan Kyint Taung and Kyauk Pyathat. More interesting sites are five days one market at Bernard Village and English Cemetery. Mogok is very charming and colorful town with natural beauty and diverse racial tribes. Mogok is producing world best quality Ruby and Sapphire. Therefore, it is one of most interesting tourist attractions for international travelers on worldwide. Moreover, besides it, Spinel, Moonstone, Peridot, Danburite, Diopside, Alexandrite, Zircon, Garnet, Quartz, Amethyst, Aquamarine, Tourmaline, Apatite and Painite and Topaz. Almost all residents in Mogok work precious stone digging, polishing, cutting and selling. Some residents find gemstones for living and hand to mouth at the villages. They cut and polish gemstones with hand without using machines. Then, they sell the stones in the gem-stone markets locally called Htar Pwe. This markets are opened with different time duration. There are many stone-polishing and cutting workshops using modern machines. About 1000 gemstone mine can be found. Stone painting can be seen as family business at the local houses. Some precious stones are needed to bake by fire to be brighter and colorful. It can be learned at one local house. Hotels and are very nice to stay for foreign travelers. Local restaurants serving authentic local foods are very good and clean. If international travelers want to go there and witness this ruby land, they need to get permission and guide. Cane-ball (Chinlone) Playing in Myanmar





Cane-ball playing is one kinds of Myanmar genuine traditional sports which has been transferring generation to generation. Mostly these sport can be found in the rural areas. Players can play in a group with at least 3 pax and at most 7 pax. It gives happiness, unity, fun and good health.

Nowadays, the cane ball playing show can be seen at the pagoda festivals, religious occasional days and zat pwe.
